The Shot Show was another rousing success this year and many manufacturers unveiled new and exciting additions to their firearm lines. The following is a list of some of the new models for 2011. Stop in, pick one up and find out a little bit more about these new additions at your local Sportsman’s Warehouse.
Benelli Super Vinci
The Super Vinci design provides the balance and swing of a fine over-and-under shotgun by keeping the weight at the center of the gun where it is supposed to be…between the shooter’s hands. The Barrel/Receiver Module houses the In-Line Inertia Driven action completely within the Super Vinci’s 8.5 inch upper receiver. The entire operating system, including the short bolt and return spring, function on the same axis as the bore.

Browning Micro Midas
In the past, finding a high-quality firearm built for younger or smaller shooters was difficult. Those days are over thanks to the new line of Browning Micro Midas guns. Mossberg 510 Mini
When Mossberg set out to create a dedicated shotgun for youngsters and small-statured shooters, they didn’t just slap a smaller stock on their legendary 500 model and call it good. Instead, their engineers made everything small and created what is arguably the world’s smallest fully-functional pump-action shotgun.
Available in either 20 gauge or .410 bore, the Mini features an 18 1/2” vent-rib barrel with dual-bead sights. Parents don’t have to worry about their young shooter growing out of this gun too quick. The adjustable classic stock can be adjusted from 10 1/2” to 11 1/2” length of pull, so the Mini can grow with your child. This adjustability also helps provide a proper fit for young shooters and allowing for a more safe and enjoyable shooting experience. Remington Model 1911
The Remington Model 1911 R1 Enhanced features an adjustable rear sight; a red fiber optic front sight; front and rear slide serrations; beavertail grip safety with a checkered memory bump; combat hammer; an anodized aluminum match trigger; wide thumb safety; flat mainspring housing checkered at 20 LPI; a match grade stainless barrel and bushing; front and rear grip serrations and custom grips with thumb groove. Each Remington Model 1911 R1 Enhanced will also ship with two, eight-round anti-friction magazines with bumper pads.

Remington Versa Max

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc., announces the LC9, a lightweight, compact 9mm pistol for discreet carry by law abiding citizens or a full-power, no-compromise backup for off-duty law enforcement officers. Weatherby Vanguard S2
In recent years, accuracy-avid hunters and shooters have made Vanguard rifles the top seller in Weatherby’s firearms line. Weatherby now takes the performance of Vanguard to an even higher level with the new Series 2 (S2) which is guaranteed to shoot SUB-MOA (a three-shot group of .99-inch or less) with factory or premium ammunition.
Scheduled for a Spring 2011 introduction in blued and stainless versions, the Vanguard S2 rifle features a new two-stage Match Quality Target Trigger. The trigger has an auxiliary sear for a “creep free” consistent let-off and pre-set sear engagement at .008-.012. It is adjustable for weight of pull down to 2.5 pounds.
The Vanguard S2 sports a new Griptonite stock with the traditional Weatherby profile that allows quick eye-to-scope alignment and fast target acquisition. Constructed of modern materials, the stock has non-slip panels and a right-side palm swell for improved handling and control. Also new is the metalwork’s matte bead blast finish on both the blued and stainless versions.
Like all Vanguard rifles, the S2 is based on the legendary Mark V action. The Vanguard actions has a one-piece machined bolt, fully enclosed bolt sleeve and three rings of steel surrounding the casehead for an extra measure of strength and structural integrity.
Weatherby SA-08 Semi-Auto
To provide year after year of dependable use in every conceivable condition, the SA-08 has undergone a torturous testing program, including more than 6,000 rounds in the lab, and standard destructive testing procedures. From dove hunting in Argentina, to waterfowl in the Pacific Flyway, to pheasants in the Midwest, the SA-08 passes every “high volume shooting” test with flying colors.
Named after the famed dove region of Argentina, Entre Rios joins Weatherby’s line of SA-08 semi-automatic shotguns for hunters and shooters in 2011. It features a specially-designed, scaled-down frame to fit 28-gauge shells. Weighing only 5.25 pounds, the shotgun is available with 26- or 28-inch barrel. Overall length is 46 or 48 inches respectively.
Entre Rios also features a hand-selected walnut stock with precision-cut checkering for a positive, responsive feel. A high-gloss finish on the stock and metalwork adds to the shotgun’s eye-catching appearance.
