AR-15s and similar modern sporting rifles are outselling traditional hunting rifles 10 to one. To meet this demand, Crooked Horn Outfitters, who have been making hunting products in the USA for more than 20 years, launched their tactical division late in 2012.
The first offering in their line is the Liberator AR-15 Discreet Gun Case. While the Liberator looks like a tennis racket case, it actually contains several surprises. An adjustable strap allows the Liberator to be hung over the headrest of your vehicle at a variety of angles to allow rapid and easy access to your AR.
A quick pull on the Quick Draw tab and you have instant access to your rifle. Two heavy duty YKK nylon zippers slide open with the pull of a single tab revealing a spacious internal compartment that holds your AR butt-up for immediate deployment.
The position of five heavy D rings allows the strap to be configured for over the shoulder carry, hanging in a closet, or from the headrest of your vehicle, making the Liberator a versatile way to store your rifle while making it available for immediate use in an emergency.
Attached to the exterior of the case via PALS MOLLE points is the Discreet Double Down detachable magazine/pistol case. With room for two spare AR magazines, the Double Down will attach to a standard belt or you can use the Liberator’s included strap to hang it from your waist, giving you discreet carry of a pistol and spare magazine.
Both the Liberator and the Double Down are made of rugged ballistic nylon. The Liberator has integrated padding to protect your rifle and expensive optics. The Grip-Zip-Draw system allows rapid access to the contents of both bags while containing and protecting the contents. All Renegade Ridge products are American made.
