When Bushnell,  the leader in laser rangefinders teams up with a leading call manufacture, good things are bound to happen. Team Primos is a well-known company loaded with experienced hunters.   This combination has developed a new laser rangefinder they are willing to put their name and endorsement on.
Our testing of this product revealed “THE TRUTH” rangefinder by Bushnell is a very simple and user friendly rangefinder and is offered at a great price.   It is designed and advertised to range from 7 to 850 yards, but during our testing, we were able to pull yardage from highly reflective targets, like buildings out to 996 yards. It is guaranteed accurate to +/- one yard and it lived up to this reputation during our test.   This unit can also be switched to range in meters if the user desires by a quick press and hold of the power button.  It has a four power magnification with a 20mm objective lens and a field of view of 430 feet at 1000 yards. It is very compact, not much larger than a business card (L-3.875”, H-2.875”, W-1.375”) and fits easily into any shirt pocket. It weighs in at 5.7 ounces.

The true beauty of this rangefinder is the Angle Range Compensation (ARC) in bow mode.   It will give you true line of site yardage, degree of angle from -90° to +90° and compensated range from 7 to 199 yards. And, it doesn’t require the ability to remember a certain sequence of button pushes to get this result.   Simple put the crosshairs on the target and hold the power button down.   This takes approximately two seconds to gain all the data you need to make those extreme uphill or downhill shots as well as shooting from a tree stand.

A good example of this in action would be; your target is downhill with a 32 yard line of sight yardage, but the extreme downhill angle of -44° will give you a compensated range of 23 yards.   That is the difference between a hit or a miss even with some of the fastest bows of today.   Most rangefinders will require a certain sequence of button pushes to convert to another mode of operation.  This isn’t the case with THE TRUTH rangefinder. Once you take a yardage reading out past 199 yards, it automatically converts out of bow mode and gives you “true line of sight”. According to the directions book, this model will accurately range deer sized targets out to 200 yards, most other objects out to 600 yards and highly reflective targets out to 850 yards. We were able to exceed this in all of our testing scenarios and all different targets.   Once you are in the “true line of sight” mode, you  will no longer be provided with angle compensation. This makes THE TRUTH a great bow hunters rangefinder for those who occasionally rifle hunt as well.

This is an extremely simple to use product which provide great results. It is covered by Bushnell’s two-year limited warranty which covers your rangefinder for manufacture defects in material and workmanship for two full years from the date of purchase.  It is also covered by the Bushnell 100% Bullet Proof Guarantee which means if you are unhappy with this product for any reason, they will refund your money with no questions asked.
