Well, my last Alaska swing of the year starts today.  I am heading to the Kenai River and the Gone Fishin’ Lodge.  A couple days of halibut in the Cook Inlet, silvers on the Kenai, a fly-out to Big River Lake or the Kustitan River and finally the upper Kenai for rainbows and Dolly’s on the drift.  Then it is strait from the peninsula to Ketchikan and Prince of Wales Island.  First Kevin Orton will join me at Tree Tops Lodge in Thorne Bay and then we head out with Adventures Alaska to finish off the trip.  We have never been to this area this late in the season, but we are told that the river fishing for silvers will be fantastic and of course the saltwater fishing is always good in that area.  18 strait days in Alaska…WOW!
