Keeping track of your expensive equipment just got a whole lot easier thanks to the NEW SPOT Trace. SPOT Trace uses satellite technology to give you updates on the location of anything to which it is attached, virtually anywhere on the globe.

Previous tracking devices were very large, needed an external power supply or had to be hard wired into a power source, and relied on cellular technology to broadcast location. Not SPOT Trace. It is small, just over 2 and half inches, and because it uses satellite technology, reaches far beyond cellular coverage.  Its four lithium AAA batteries can power it for up to 18 months before they need replacing, or by using rechargeable NiMH batteries and a USB cord, it can run indefinitely.

SPOT Trace  comes with a reversible mounting bracket that allows it to be mounted in a variety of positions on everything from ATVs to boats to trailers. Other included mounting accesscories include:  double sided mounting tape, hook and loop tape, and adhesive grip pad.

Once activated, the unit will enter a standby mode until it is moved. When moving, it will send a signal every 2 ½, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes, depending upon preferred setup.

The units send text or messages to cellphones, email, or you can even monitor your assets’ GPS coordinates online.

Available dock mode allows it to be used on boats and other items that move frequently by not activating when moved until it leaves a 200-meter area, like setting an electronic fence around it. Once it leaves that area, it will begin broadcasting based upon the preferred tracking interval.

With the SPOT Trace, it is now possible to keep an eye on items that may be far from your current location. If you have a boat or ATVs at a remote cabin, you can have peace of mind that they will be where you leave them without having to drive a long distance to check on them. The Trace unit will automatically send you a signal if they are moved and keep tabs on where they are. If an unauthorized person takes them, you can call police with their exact location and even let them know when the unit has stopped moving so your machines can be easily recovered.

The Trace is inexpensive when compared to the replacement cost of a boat or ATV and annual and monthly service plans are available to meet your needs.
