Alaska Kingfishers is a remote king, chum and sockeye salmon fishing facility located on the banks of the Nushagak River in the heart of Bristol Bay in southwest Alaska. The Nushagak is Alaska’s most prolific river for king salmon. With the peak of this run offering a very short window of opportunity, our camp is only open from mid-June through about the 20th of July each year.
The Nushagak’s unimaginable runs of salmon are certainly worthy of the trip by themselves, however, once on the river you will find yourself gazing off into the awesome wilderness setting searching for a glimpse of a big brown bear or maybe even a moose swimming across the river. Our camp seems like an old friend to our return anglers and soon we hope it will include you as one of its own. Whether you are a serious angler looking to land a dozen or two kings a day, the first 50 pounder of your life or you are just looking for a unique Alaskan fishing adventure to share with some friends, you have to look no further than Alaska Kingfishers.
You will find yourself right at home in our wilderness tent camp, with most of the comforts of home at your fingertips. Our chef will dazzle you with great offerings morning, noon and night and our guides will make sure you have the time of your life while fishing for the most exciting species of Pacific salmon available anywhere in Alaska. With over 90,000 king, 400,000 chum and 500,000 sockeye salmon making their way up the river last year, our catch rates per boat were simply phenomenal!
