If you have never hunted a predator, you do not know what you are missing. We at Itcha Mountain Outfitters 2005 ltd have been hunting predators for over 10 years and I believe that you will not have truly hunted until you stalk an animal that has to hunt to survive.
Mature Boar Black Bear are probably North America’s most under rated predator. They are aggressive, they have attitude and they are a kick to hunt.

Prime habitat, heavy dense forests and hundreds of spring fed Creeks and Rivers with Trout and Salmon populations that are staggering, and Itcha Mountain Outfitters is located right in the center of it. With over 3000 square miles of prime Black Bear area and with permitted areas that double that, we are blessed to be able offer the world some of the best predator hunting there is. Be it Trophy Black Bears that consistently push the seven foot marker, or Mountain Lions that are 180 to 200 pounds.

I have been to Itcha Mountain outfitters on 4 different occasions now and when I think of spot and stalk black bear hunting, I automatically think of these guys. Stewart and Sabrina have hundreds of thousands of acres of prime bear habitat and they know where the big boys live. I felt like I was family after the first day on the first trip and it has only gotten better with every single trip. Whether we have hunted with rifles or bows, we have had numerous opportunities each and every day. I have personally harvested 3 black bears and one color phased bear which is my true prized possession. I was able to harvest the color phased bear with my bow on a two week trip to Itcha Mountain in 2010. We successfully filmed and harvest a total of 7 bears during this two week period of time and my archery color phased bear was the only one that didn’t top the 7 foot mark. The whole team works great with kids, women, and inexperienced hunters as well as the serious trophy hunter. Itcha Mountain provides Canadian moose, caribou, mountain lions, lynx, as well as bears and although we haven’t had the benefit of hunting any of those critters, I’m sure that Stewart and Sabrina are the same professionals at these hunts as they are with the bears. If you want hunt trophy black bears with spot and stalk tactics, look no further. You can’t go wrong. – written by Michael Deming
