Located in the heart of Colorado, Stillwater Outfitters is one of North America’s finest and most respected outfitters for Canada goose and duck hunting. We have been established in prime locations through the Front Range region between Denver and Ft. Collins for years.
You will hunt over large, full body decoy spreads from comfortable, well-concealed pits and blinds. Your group will hunt farms controlled and hunted exclusively by Stillwater Outfitters. By limiting the number of hunts each day and using proven management techniques, we have established a reputation for providing consistent high quality gunning since 1985. Hunters from around the world have already discovered the thrill of hunting this majestic setting. The area is a “must see” to be truly appreciated. Join us on a waterfowl hunting adventure that will have you wanting to come back again and again!
We first visited Stillwater Outfitters in December of 2009 to evaluate them for our Platinum Approved Outfitter program. We spent four days hunting the front range of Colorado and for one of the first times in my life, I was in the heart of the action each and every day. The Stillwater Operation has been around for so long that they have the very best leases in the entire area and continue to do so each and every year. I’m sure that these areas were once far from town, but due to the urban sprawl, you will find yourself in fields choked full of geese that think they are safe because they are near town. There wasn’t a day of hunting that we weren’t out of the fields by ten o’clock with limits of geese and great memories. Since that first trip, we have made it an annual migration in the month of December and each year seems to get better and better. On our final day of 2011’s trip, we made it to the Northwest corner of the state for what was probably the finest day of goose shooting anyone could ask for. We had thousands of birds in the air at any given time and they just wanted to be where we were at. Truly a trip of a lifetime and enough to insure that we are back in Colorado in December of 2012. I won’t ever miss this annual trip.
